The district governor will make his official visit to the Bryce Club on Saturday, March 26, at Ruby's Inn, at 7 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. George Jolley have a new grandson born to their daughter and husband in Las Vegas, Nev. Greg and Paula Richards, Eva Pollock and daughters, La Dora Baugh and Florence Syrett were in Cedar City on business. The Larvin Pollocks spent three days this week In Salt Lake City on business and visiting with relatives. It seems that chicken pox Is making its rounds again this spring. Several of the children have it, competing with the flu that is also prevalent In several of the homes. La Dora Baugh accompanied her mother Shanna Goulding to Salt Lake City to see her father who is hospitalized in the Veteran's Hospital. The Ben Baugh family visited with the Sherman Baughs. Cloyd Mecham visited his parents this past week. John Niemann is attending the Police Academy in Salt Lake City. Ward Mangym was In Tropic this past week visiting his mother and brothers. Visiting with Lynden Sud-weeks were his friends Bob Hansen and Jerry Jerman. Jerry Pollock came home for a few days from his Job in Phoenix. The art class held their "Show and Tell" party In the high school. It was surprising to see how much beautiful work had been done by the group. They had used pencil, charcola, pastels, oils and water colors In the pictures. Plans have been made for the group to continue on with their art work. , The Give Bybees went to Salt Lake City to bring their son Ricky home. He was recently released from the Irish LDS mission. Word has been received that Mr. and Mrs. Harry James (Prestine Kelly, foster daughter of the John LeFevres) have a new baby son. The little newcomer has a sister and brother at home. The James family live in Salt Lake City where Harry is employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Several of the Tropic people attended the missionary party and testimonial for Monty Twitchell, in the Cannonville ward. Cliff and Linda Barton are living in Richfield where he has employment with a construction company. Stockholders for the Bryce Valley Development Corp. held their annual meeting March 9. Holley Anderson, small daughter of Blaine and Shaunna Anderson received her name and a blessing by her father In sacrament meeting. The membership for Mary Wood was read In sacrament meeting. Malen Mecham brought his wife Angel yn home from Oak City where she had been visiting her relatives and recovering from a recent illness. |
