Darvey and Dianna Gates have a new baby boy. for a total of three. Harvey has had some more eye surgery. The Marvin Mounteers have a new granddaughter born to Jerry and Beverly in Cedar City, The ShurU people went to Salina for the funeral services of Ellis ShurU. Walt Dane feels really married again after being without his wedding ring all winter. Last November he was at Theron's station changing a tire when the ring came off and flipped Into the back of a truck loaded with the belongings of Gloria Grade who was moving north. They searched for the ring but were unseccessful. Gloria stored some of her things in Hunter at the home of Bonnie liles. When Bonnie was doing her spring cleaning she found the ring and returned it to Walt Dot Coombs and son Joined Fay Alvey for a trip to Rich field. Shona Griffin Peterson of Ephraim was in town visiting her parents, Vernon and Hazel Griffin. Cal Porter, Lillian and Joyce Coleman were in Richfield to see the eye doctor. Arden and Maevonn Taylor had business in Richfield. Got interrupted last week and left out the visit of Re nee Owens and daughter of Phoenix, who came to Utah to visit her parents, Whitney and Maralda Porter. Renee Osborn spent a week in Cedar City visiting family members. Nancy Droubay of Richfield and her mother. Echo Kalawais of Salt Lake City visited at the Wayne Button home. Joe Carter flew to Las Vegas. Jerry Lawrence has his younger brother, Craig visiting from San Diego. Edith Lawrence was hostess to a luncheon, pot luck style, and baby shower for Cindy Fontaine. Earl Brooks is working his fingers to the bone trying to keep everything up while Angela and the boys are visiting her folks in Germany. The DUP held their last meeting and election in the form of a pot luck picnic at Calf Creek. Elda Haws is the new captain with Millie Mclnelly and Fon Mecham ras' vice: captain. . t ft' Gary and Mark-Pollock brought Ethyl home for the summer. Francis and Barbara Imlay brought Idella home. The mothers and daughters tea was held uner the direction of Marjie Spencer, Shirley and Kathy Carter gave the traditional talks and Ruby Griffin was honored. Denise Alvey and Mary Ann Merze spent the weekend at the Arnold Alvey home. Klyn and Marlene Haws took a horse to Denver for their son, Rick. Gleave Coleman is teaching Margean Stowe to use a gun. Florence Alvey and son Wayne went to Cedar City shopping and to visit the girls. Helen and Rick Pruitt visited them on the weekend. Evan and Elsie Roundy visited Reo here. Thelda Millett and Minnie Langston of Salt Lake City visited relatives in town and at the cemetery. They had supper with James and Millie Mclnelly. Jim and Erma Gates finally got around to visiting son Kay and family in Vernal. Enroute home they stayed overnight in Manti and did some work at the LDS Temple. They came home to find Ken and Norma Schow and her daughter and husband, Curtis and Madeline Keith and three kids from Gainesville. Florida. Afton Church was here from Pangultch with some political friends. Nellie Bailey spent some time in Monroe with her sister Maude Reynolds, the other sisters came and helped to celebrate Maude's 75th birthday. The Special Interest group still meet with a dozen or more ladles in attendance. Evadean liston entertained In her home last week with Clella Woolsey helping with the lunch. This week they met at the church with Leah Griffin and Jane Woolsey entertaining. Arlis and Melba Brooks made a business trip to Colorado. |
