Show Cannonville Betty Henderson 679-8592 It's garden planting time and everyone is busy getting their seeds in the ground. Some have their tomato plants in and hoping it does not freeze. Mandy and Ariel Fletcher drove to Beaver the other day to get some tomatoe plants. Albert Sivils came over to visit his grandparents, Kendall and Beatrice Dutton. Albert has been staying with the Jody Heatons. Ada Thompson and Rae Hughes went to Cedar City to see the doctor. Bishop and Ilene Hamblin are parents of a new baby boy. The baby has been named Chase Logan. Mother is feeling fine but the little fellow was born a few weeks early and developed a problem that made it necessary to fly him to the hospital in Salt Lake City. Latest report was that the baby was improving. Ira and Julia Elmer left home early Tuesday morning to attend a funeral at Hurrican. They didn't make it. Rounding a curve in Red Canyon they came upon a deer. Ira was unable to stop. Ira and Julia escaped without a bruise but the deer and the car were not so lucky. Bryce Valley Seniors went on their annual trip to Disneyland, Knoxberry Farm and Universal Studios. Cannonville seniors were, Marie Nelson, Melanie Clark, Arjean Twitchell, Jeff Stock and Monty Twitchell. Joe and Rae Hughes went to Richfield on Saturday. They stopped in Panguitch on their way home to bring Daphne home for a visit. Gerald Stock went to Parowan on Saturday to get a pickup. Afton and Larraine Dutton moved their trailer house on to the southeast comer of Kendall Dutton's lot. Lorl Twitchell went to Cedar City on Saturday. Shirlene Collins and little girls have gone back to Salt Lake City to live. Shirlen has found employment there. Sherman Davis is back in the Panguitch Hospital. Nick Reynolds and Jewell Pitts were home for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Heath, Kaysville and Grandmother Leslie, Panguitch Hospital were Sunday guests of Ariel and Mandy Fletcher. Margaret and Anna Mae LeFevre went to Las Vegas to attend the funeral of Anna Maes brother, Nelson Folsom. Nelson died of a heart attack a few days ago. Gretha Twitchell has been caring for, Margaret's children. Elva Clark brought grandson, Grant home from Bonneville and took him to Page. He spent a few days visiting his father and will spend the summer here with his grandparents. |
