Show Hatch Happenings neyiUwdr T35-4J03 Mn. Ethel Rlggs had a happy surprise recently when Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hardy of Sterling, Alberta, Canada called to tee her. Mrs. Hardy was formerly Miss Delia Miller who with her twin brother, David, taught school here the year 19-S0. They boarded at the Rlggs home. Friday evening, Mrs. Lynn Coudy and son. Brandon of Provo came to spend Saturday with Mrs. Effel Rlggs in the Interest of genealogy, By comparison, of material collected they determine they have a common ancester in William Joseph Collins born Nov. 24, 1812. David Mower, of the Pangultch Stake Sunday School visited our Sunday School. Business In testimony meeting was; Released as 2nd counselor in the Primary was Dorothy Barney and Lorna Barnhurst was sustained In her place. The Relief Society presidency were released Pres. Adele Rlggs, Ora Barnhurst, Ardis Evans, counselors, and sec. Klortene Barney. Sustained as the new presidency were Pres. Dorothy Barney, counselors Estella Rlggs and Margie Prince and sec. Theora Heap. Visiting in Richfield Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington and Julia Turek. Saturday Kelly Dix visited the Oliver Huntingtons then went to Henrievllle with his grandfather and the David-Sawyers to get some hay. Visiting Saturday and Sunday with the Sawyers were the Kerry Sawyer, Las Vegas. Saturday evening visitors were the Darwin Shakes pears of Pangultch. Wiley and Bertha Gauthier of Hemet, Calif, visited at the Bob Hendersons over the weekend. Monday the Hendersons went to Salt Lake City for a few days. All the family of the Layton Barneys: The Craig Barneys, Roosevelt, the Don L. I peons, George and Elizabeth Barton, Tropic met at tie Vic Gordons during the weekend in Roosevelt then attended testimony meeting with them Sunday where the Gordon's infant daughter was given a blessing and the name Milessa. Vaughn Evans is home from his Job in Las Vegas prior to his leaving for his mission in June. Saturday he Invited everyone to attend sessions in the Mantl IDS Temple with him. Lil Jourdan is home after visiting the past week in Los Angeles with her husband Joe and other relatives. Max and Lorl Burrows of rTedonia visited Saturday at the Karl Lowders. Mr. and Mrs. Nile Sawyer went to Salt Lake City during the week to take a group of high school students. Emma Kae Humpheries of Cedar City visited during the week at the LaVal Sawyers. Brent Turek of Cedar City visited Thursday with the E. P. Tureks. The Tom McCormacks returned recently after visiting in California. Idonna Duel and family visited Sunday afternoon in Alton with the Vard Heatons. Visiting Maggie Barnhurst last week were Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Barnhurst of Salt Lake City and Saturday was Bert Barnhurst of Cedar City. Monday, Shirley and Monica Wllhelm took Maggie to Richfield. Al Wllhelm spent the weekend home from his job in Las Vegas. Mel Barnhurst of Cedar City is here visiting the Garth Heaps. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans visited several days in Vernal with the Delin Crofts and to see their new home. Mrs. Hugh Wilson with Davnae, Denise and Deanna of Las Vegas are here visiting the Jesse Wilsons. Word was received by Jesse and Calvin Wilson that their bother Dell had undergone open-heart surgery in the LDS Hospital In Salt Lake City. The Oliver Huntingtons received word that Mrs. Don (Nita) Allred underwent open-heart surgery last week in the same hospital. Michelle Stephenson spent the weekend In Kanab at the Duke Alkens. Mrs. Grant Dal ton went to Parowan Wednesday to visit the Wayne Stubbs. Thursday she took Mrs. Stubbs and Brandt to Delta and visited Grant then on to Provo to visit relatives. They spent two nights in Salt Lake City with May Swapp and visited other relatives. They picked up their grandson, Burke Childers at the University of Utah where he was on a debate team for the United Nations. He was picked as highest of five from the Parowan High School. Saturday the Daltons took him to Provo where he had oral surgery on his teeth. They came home Saturday evening where Wayne was waiting to take his family home to Parowan. Granr spent the weekend .home frpnr his job. Visiting during the week at the Bruce Daltons were her brothers, ..Phillip., and. Kenny Bailey tf-MOfordand Eva Dean and Beth Listen of Escalante. Bruce accompanied some young men of Panguitch to Beaver Saturday to play ball. |
