In tho house Wednesday Wednes-day Roprcscntatlvo Lncoy of Iowa took a pronounced position in opposition to tho adjournment of congress for tho Christmas holidays, declaring that "It Is idiotic for tho house to adjourn and then Jnm all legislation through under whip and spur during tho closing clos-ing days." Mr. Clark of Missouri declared that the "statement made by Mr. Lacey about tho idiocy of adjourning for tho holidays was tho most sensible thing he has said for the past twelvo years."
