Madison and Ryan are delighted to announce the birth of their sister McCall Mary Hogge. She was born March 31, 2003, weighing 6 lbs., 7 oz., and measuring 19 1/4 inches. Proud McCall Mary Hogge parents are Travis and Lori Hogge of Liberty. Proud grandparents are Karen Smith, and Ron and Mary Hogge. Shane and Adrianne Francis are pleased to announce the birth of their son Cole Shane. Cole was born April 19, 2003. He weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz., and Cole Shane Francis measured 21 1/2 inches. Proud grandparents are Larry and Shanna Francis of Eden and Alan and ?????? Giles of North Ogden. Eagle Scouts Nicholas Creamer, 18, of Troop 249, Liberty LDS 2nd Ward, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Nicholas is the son of Lamar and Tami Creamer of Liberty. He is a senior at Weber High School. Whittier-Ropelato Rebecca Ann Whittier and Jeff Darren Ropelato were united in marriage March 28 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception was held in their honor at Ivy Lane Reception Center. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Whittier of Peterson. Parents of the bridegroom are Jerry and Darinda Ropelato of Huntsville. The bride chose Angelique Read as her matron of honor. Jane Whittier, Stacey Starley, Natalie Ropelato, Darcy Carter, Nicole Whittier, Rachel Murray and Julie Van Ness were her bridesmaids. Brian Van Ness performed the duties of best man, with David Ropelato, Marc Ropelato, Christian Whittier, Sam Whittier, Rob Whittier, Rodney Read and Nate Starley as groomsmen. The bride graduated from Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park, California, and Weber State University’s nursing program. She is employed at McKay-Dee Hospital as a registered nurse. The bridegroom graduated from Weber High School and served in the Mexico Merida LDS Mission. He attends WSU and works at McKay-Dee Hospital. The new couple will live in South Weber after their honeymoon in Las Vegas. Purcell-Shaw Maren Purcell and Nathan Shaw were married Thursday, April 17, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Lori Purcell of Boise, Idaho. Parents of the bridegroom are Leslie and Carma Shaw of Liberty. An open house was held in their honor at the Liberty Church, and a reception was held at the Eagle LDS Stake Center in Boise, Idaho. The bride graduated from Eagle High School and Brigham Young University. She is currently employed as a teacher at Hillcrest Elementary School in Orem. The bridegroom graduated from Weber High School and Utah State University. He currently works in International Marketing for Hewlett-Packard. He served in the Japan Sendai LDS Mission. After a honeymoon in Florida, the couple will reside in Boise, Idaho. Obituaries Adelaide “Addie” L. Dickson HUNTSVILLE - Adelaide L. Dickson, passed away peacefully at her home in her sleep on Monday, April 7, 2003. She was born November 9, 1926 in Pueblo, Colorado to Louis and Mary Ricotta and was raised there, graduating from Central High School. She also attained a business degree from Scotner Business College. Addie worked in the Pueblo Courthouse until her marriage to William M. Dickson on May 31,1954 in Taos, New Mexico. They first moved to Clinton and then to their home in Huntsville, Utah in 1960 where she resided until her passing. During her life in Huntsville, she worked for the IRS in Ogden until her retirement in 1986. She then owned and operated the Shooting Star Saloon with her husband. Addie helped with founding the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 129, holding many offices. She helped with the Eagles Family Meadows doing numerous activities and fundraisers. Addie showed her liberated spirit in all her actions and deeds. She had a very giving and forgiving nature. She leaves behind two daughters, Debra VanMeer and Jeanne Dickson, both of Ogden; two sons, Jim Dickson, Hermistono, Oregon; and William “Billy” Dickson, Huntsville; one brother, Frank “Ray” (Tina) Ricotta and one sister, Edith Smith, both of Pueblo, Colorado; a grandson, Chas Escobedo; a granddaughter, Rosalie VanMeer; and a great-grandson, William VanMeer; and numerous nieces and nephews who were all very important to her. Addie is joining her husband William, her parents, her brother Francisco Ricotta, sisters Judith Stephich and Josephine Larkins, who preceded in her in death. Addie and her “unique” ways will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to give a special thanks to Vista Hospice Care and all her friends who stopped and called to check on her or ran her to numerous appointments, as well as to Dierdre Gorman, Andrea “Andie” Morris, Sue Rainey, and Sherry Smith for all their help during our times of need. Funeral services were held at the grave- side on Thursday, April 17 at 3:00 p.m. at the Huntsville City Cemetery, with Father Charles Cummins officiating. Email condolences to the family at: lom@lindquistmortuary.com Kimberly Grow HUNTSVILLE - Kimberly Grow, infant daughter of Michael and Brenda Gordon Grow, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on Friday, April 25, 2003, at the Primary Children Hospital in Salt Lake City. She was born November 16, 2001, in Ogden. Kimmy was a special little girl and brought joy to all of us. She will be greatly missed. Her parents are members of the Middle Fork LDS Ward. Surviving are her parents and one brother, Garrett Grow, all of Huntsville; grandparents, Jim and Gerrie Gordon, North Ogden; Moyer and Alice Grow, Huntsville; greatgrandparents, Jack and Donna Gordon, South Ogden; Dean and Phyllis Frew, Hooper; many aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Huntsville Cemetery.
