| Show DEATH OF GENERAL FITZHUGH LEE washington brigadier general lee U S A retired died at providence hospital here friday night aged 68 years from an attack of apoplexy which he suffered early in the morning on a train while en route boston to washington after general lee had been removed to the hospital it was evident to the attend ing physicians that his case was a very serious one but they believe i that his strong vitality and will power would assist materially in a partial re covery at least from the attack his condition remained fair considering the severity of the attack during the day but shortly after 9 clock he be gan to grow weaker his breathing be came more rapid and his pulse lower terminating in less than two hours in death the end was peaceful without pain the general remaining conscious until within five minutes ot the end A widow and five children survive general lee two of the boys are army officers and two of the girls are wives of army officers while the re kalning child Is a young woman still in her teens the children are mrs J rhea wife of lieutenant rhea now at fort oglethorpe ga lieuten ant fitzhugh lee of the cavalry branch now in manila lieutenant george mason lee of the seventh caa airy who is now in san francisco mrs anne brown wife of lieutenant brown of the seventh cavalry who 1 now at san francisco and miss vir ginia lee |
