courageous battle with cancer She was born to Mark Wall and Hazel Irene Pugh Wall on March 13 Illinois She married 1925 in Chicago Dale Hansen on November 30 1952 in Fillmore Utah later solemnized in the LDS Angeles Temple Betty held many church positions mostly working with the youth in the Mutual Betty enjoyed reading At the time of her death she was employed at the Durango Hospital as Food Service Supervisor He husband Dale is the son of the late Mr and Mrs Arden David and Vera Hansen of Fillmore Betty will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her She is survived by her Scipio Ward on Sunday Max V Eliason Judge Max V Eliason a native of Deseret age 70 died June 3 1987 in Anaheim California of Cancer He was born in Deseret Utah to Ephraim J and Lois Robison Eliason He graduated from Hinckley High School as Valedictorian in 1935 He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah and also completed a Doctorate of Legal Jurisprudence Degree from the University of Utah Law School He attended Columbia University and trained as an officer in the US Navy in World War II He was a member of the crew on the USS Thurston and participated in the landing on the beachhead of Normandy on He also participated in the landing at Okinawa and Iwo Jima Judge Eliason first served as a Juvenile Court judge in Cedar City Utah He then moved to California where he was Orange County Deputy District Attorney from 1954 to 1958 In 1958 he won election as a Municipal Court Judge serving until his retirement in 1976 From 1976 until the time of his death he acted as a Superior Court Judge and as a Superior Court Arbitrator Judge Eliason was a member of both the California and Utah state bars He also belonged to numerous service organizations including: the Anaheim Young Men’s Christian Association Conference of California Judges Anaheim Kiwanis Club (past president) and North Orange Council of Boy Scouts of America He earned the Silver Beaver award He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints in Anaheim where he was a bishop Anaheim Stake President Anaheim Stake Patriarch and a Los Angeles Temple officiator He married Marjorie Howe in
