Other design features include shutters on each side of the living room windows; the detailed column which is supporting part of the deck and is repeated on both sides of the doors opening from the master bedroom to the deck and again at each side of the garage door, the plant shelf with its corbels across the bottom of the living room window; the vertical siding above the master bedroom doors; the band sawn corbels projecting from under the gable roof; the deck and the tile roof. This design is only available with a concrete slab foundation. Adding to the overall design interest, the floor of the living room is lower than that of the remainder of the house. An ornamental iron railing partially separates the living room from the entry and the dining area. The oversized farm kitchen will probably be considered an outstanding asset of this home, especially by active families.
