The meet, held at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center on the east bench of Sandy, lured 24 swim teams from Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, California and Colorado for competition in senior, junior and age group divisions. In keeping, Coleco will offer some major new merchandise. Intent on breathing new life into its disappointing Adam Computer, Coleco will devote most of its Christmas season releases to that machine. They have, however, promised to continue supporting the Colecovision console with new software. Rocn Rope is the most recent Colecovision release, and is somewhat similar to Donkey Kong. Originally an arcade game, Rocn Rope casts the player as an explorer hot on the trail of the birds of fortune, taking players to a land that time forgot The obstacle to reaching the elusive bird is an army of dinosaurs and cavemen, both of which look a lot like gremlins. Game play covers three screens, to get to each with same objective the top in the shortest period of time. At first, finding the way is fun and challenging. But with only one safe route through each screen, winning is just a matter of finding the path. Rocn Rope makes good use of a Utah Receives Fulbright Scholarship William H. One advantage of a magazine on disc over one on paper is that a disc magazine also can be played with. Disk Thats the idea behind Magazine from Ziff Davis for the Apple home computer. Each issue contains 10 ready-to-ru- n programs and a booklet describing how to use them. Nothing is copyrighted, so users are able to design their own back-u- p discs, as well as merge the programs on the disc with their own. The premiere issue offers a variety of both activity and utility programs. Disk runs on Everythng on DOS 3.3 of Applesoft BASIC. All the software works just as well with a color monitor as it does with a disoutplay, and is set up for put. Unfortunately, the booklet accompanying the first 10 programs is 55 pages long, and the programs do not use many prompts. The Hayes brothers are freestyle specialists, with Mike competing in the 100 and 200 meter free and Pat in the 200.
