ROOSEVELT WOULD RAISE ARMY. Former President and Four Sons Will Join Organization of First Reserves. -New York. Formal announcement was made here Sunday of the formation forma-tion of an organization of the first reserves, to be known as the American Ameri-can Iegion. to be composed of former army, navy and militiamen, which will better insure the nation's preparedness pre-paredness in case of war. Asserting that he and his four sons -will become members of the legion, le-gion, Colonel Roosevelt, in a letter to the organizers, says that in the event of war he intends to ask congress for permission to raise a division of cavalry.
