Show CORAL PINK Sand Dunes, just south of U.S, 89, is a good place to camp when traveling to these two popular parks, especially if you have young children. There are acres of fine pink sand for children to play in and climb over as well as many exciting color photograph possibilities. Several feature movies have been made in this area. The campground at Coral Pink also features a modern rest room with hot and cold running water and showers. A tourist might also consider taking a drive to Pipe Spring National Monument, an old Mormon tithing ranch, south of Coral Pink. This area is one of many in southern Utah that can be found with a little advance planning and a sense of adventure. The Utah Travel Council publishes an excellent campground directory for tourists which lists facilities across the state and tells how they can be reached. Suggested tour books can also be helpful. All are free for the asking. WHILE ONLY a few side trips are mentioned here, there are dozens oi side trips and camping possibilities that can be found by a traveler who doesnt mind doing some exploring off the freeway.
