Latter-day President Benson, head of the churchs Council of Twelve Apostles, addressed the Exp- - Music Educator, 51, Succumbs Special to The Tribune William PROVO McLachlan Foxley, 51, Utah music educator, died Friday in Provo of a heart attack. Mr. Foxley was a professor of music at BYU since 1969, and served as president of the Utah Teachers Music Associ- ation for two terms. He also had been editor of the Utah Music Educators Magazine. He was the western states, Mexico and Canada field representative for 20 years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints General Music Committee and was author of the text used in these classes. He attended the University of Utah, received a masters degree from the University of Southern California and received his Ph.D. from BYU in 1969. Member of Guild He was a member of the American Guild of Organists, and was ac- tive in the Music Teachers National He was an active member of the LDS Church, having served a mission to the New England states. He also was a of the BYU 2nd LDS Ward high council and was the 39th LDS Branch president. He member also taught a seminary class at West High School in Salt Lake City. Mr. Foxley was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Salt Lake City, to William Lemuel and Grace McLachlan Foxley. He married Morma LaVon Noall Dec. 16, 1948, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was educated in Salt Lake schools and served as an assistant Army chaplain in Italy during World War II. Survivors Listed Survivors include his widow of Provo, a son and three daughters, N., Monterrey, Mexico; Mrs. Scott R. (Louise) Spencer, Salt Lake City; Mrs. John V.
