Business began as usual with members of the social and ways and means committees getting busy. New booklets and calendars of events were given to each sister. Guest speaker for the night was Richard Dart of KRPX Radio who spoke on the kinds of radio communication. At 5:35 a.m. Sept. 22, certain women were seen about town wearing pajamas, robes and slippers and donning cameras for live action. For what, you might ask? It was a Sleeping Beauty come as you are party. The women gathered at Pizza Deli for a breakfast prepared by Necia Erramouspe. Prizes for best and worst disposition, best hair-d- o and such were presented to Marilyn Bell, Betty Wheeler, Carolyn Vogrinec and Bernadette Paluso. At 8:30 a.m., the women were seen sneaking from Pizza Deli to their cars and back home again. The home of Angela Grosley provided the meeting place for a Sept. 22 meeting. Necia Erramouspe gave a presentation on Communication with Conversation. Ways and Means chairman Betty Wheeler organized the annual garage sale on Oct. 2 with huge success. Held at the home of Tonya Bruno, many items were sold and clothing Xi was donated James Sully Sullivan, lecturing knight, explained the tour now being planned for the national convention to be held 1983 in Honolulu, July Hawaii. Reservations must be made at this time. Sullivan is in charge of all arrangements. Christa Kaminski gave a demonstration on the art of applying makeup for a more beautiful you. 3onnie Johnson was her model. Some 83 ladies were in attendance. The next meeting is set for Nov. 3. Membership booklets will be available at that time. 23-3- 6, Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus The Carbon County Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus held its first camano, historian. Joe S. Bonacci addressed the group and gave a very informative talk on the formation of an office for Catholic Community Services being planned for Carbon and Emery counties. At the close of the meeting, the ladies enjoyed a tea served by the officers. Seated at the table were Mrs. Beatrice Schoenberger and Mrs. Minnie Bonacci. The next meeting will be Oct. 19 in East Carbon City. Carbon Nile Club The Carbon Nile Club of Lybia Temple No. 32, Daughters of the Nile, met Friday evening at the Greenwell Restaurant. The meeting was presided over by Lucille Sweetring, president.
