Add unbeaten egg yolks, one at a time and beat until smooth. Mix In extract, sift flour, sift together with baking powder and salt. Starting with flour and ending with flour, add flour and milk alternately to batter. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Grease cake mold well. Put large dabs of butter along the creases of the mold, embedding an almond In each dab. Pour batter Into mold and bake for 45 minutes at 350. Let stand for 15 minutes after removing from oven before removing cake from mold.
