Show Dance Groups, Bands To Entertain WEST V ALLEY. Two stages, rather than one, will accommodate a variety of entertainment from 10:30 a.m. to midnight during the WestFest celebration here on Saturday. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., the Castleview school of dance will perform on stage one. At 11 a.m. on stage two the Muzzleloaders will demonstrate guns similar to those used from 1800 to 1840. Brendance are studio performers perform the talents they used to place in the contest. During the evening show the Sunday Anderson West Side Senior Citizens will also perform. The group, whose members range in age from 60 to 80 will do songs and dances commonly performed on Broadway. Tootsie the Clown will also entertain. Folksinger Dan Raymond, a West Valley scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on stage one. At noon, parachutists will drop into the park. At 12:30 p.m. the Colletts school of dance will take the stage to entertain the audience. Beginning at 1:30 p.m. Marjeans school of dance will perform on stage one. Then Ted McKowen of Sawtooth Ranch will sing oldtime western music as he accompanies himself on the banjo, mandolin and guitar. His performance will take place on stage postman, will also take part in the evening program, singing and playing the guitar. At 8:30 p.m. the grand prize will be given. Three days and two nights in Disneyland for four people will be awarded through a random ticket drawing. The grand prize is courtesy of Ultimate Travel agency in West Valley. Following the drawing, Michael J. Bennett will play the part of Patrick Henry to show how he participated in U.S. Constitution. creating the At 9:30 p.m. the West Valley Chorale, a group composed of local citizens, will sing until the fireworks begin at 10 p.m. The Time Cruisers will provide music during the fireworks, then continue playing for the dance, which will be held until midnight. From Zoo To Governor: Location Of Tickets Variety Of Booths Set WEST VALLEY. A total of 68 booths ranging from Meet the Governor to a zoo of exotic animals will be featured this year at WestFest, formerly West Valey Days. The booths will be set up in Granger Park, 3200 W. 3500 South, all day Saturday beginning at about 10 a.m. Booth Chairwoman Janice Fisher said there will be a food court with thirteen different varieties of dishes including sloppy joes, hot dogs, hamburgers, scones and nachos. Drinks will also be available along with novelty items, such as popcorn, snocones, cotton candy, doughnuts and watermelon. Members of the West Valley City Council will have a pride booth where citizens can ask questions about the area. A crime booth with West Valley prevention policemen will also be on hand. Citizens can make donations to the Constitution bicentennial tree grove at a WestFest booth. For a $2 donation anyone can receive a Lodgepole, Scotch, Colorado two. Beckys school of dance will mount stage one at 2: 30 p.m. with some dance routines. At 3 p.m. George Knowlden of the Ta Tanka Sha (Red Buffalo Society) Indian Heritage Assn, will perform a Native American dance. After the oldtime dance, Pam Grundvigs school of dance will perform more modern soft shoe on stage one. From p.m. the West Valley police and fire departments will present demonstrations in the center of the park. Police dogs will highlight the law enforcement demonstration, while the firefighters will show off fire hoses. 4-- 5 At 5 p.m. a soft rock, country western group. Reflections, will perform on stage two. They will play until 6 p.m. Miss West Valley 1987 and her attendants will highlight the evening program from 6:30-8:3- 0 p.m. The entourage will Blue Spruce or Bristlecone pine seedling. Lilac bush seedlings will also be available. Governor Norman H. Bangerter will at- y tend the event along with Utah Jazz announcer Hot Rod Hundley. They will participate in a basketball shooting and golf putting contest. The Great Basin Art Guild will also have a booth. According to Fisher, the guild is a group of local arts enthusiasts who will have original works for sale. Other craft booths will include ceramics, original wood novelties and jewelry. The Muzzleloaders, a group of local residents who emulate the mountain man will also have a lifestyle from booth. They will demonstrate mountain man skills throughout the day and have a black powder shoot at 1 1 a.m. West Valleys animal control officers will have exotic animals on display. The tickets are free of charge and will used to determine the winner of several prizes, which will be given away during the celebration. Winners must be present for the drawings, those in charge stipulated.
