Mackay married Mary Ethel Smith in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 30, 1937. He was born in Bennion on r tb 7, 1918, the son of Samuel A and Rachel Gragory Mackay He has held many positions in the LDS church and worked in (instruction until his retirement y Ethel was born in Grantsville, Utah on April 12, 1917, the daughter of Robie E. and Catherine Park Smith. She was educated in Murray schools and has also held various posit ions in the LDS church. The two of them filled an LDS mission in Lawrens, South Carolina. They became the parents of five oons. They are: Ray (Jan) of S.L.; Sam (Carolyne) or Ucon, Idaho; Tom (Jane) of Kennewick, Washington; Roger (Kim) of S.L. and Robert, deceased. They also have 17 grandchildren and 10 Rex has two brothers and one sister and Ethel has two sisters and one brother. The Carroll Roses Note Golden Wedding San Diego Honeymoon For The Todd Browns Todd Elliott Brown and Suzanne Buck were married June 20 in a double ring ceremony at The Old Meeting House. The couple was honored at a rehearsal dinner June 19 at the home of the grooms parents, and at a reception following the ceremony at The Old Meeting House. The bride is the daughter of JoAnn Spencer Buck, Taylorsville, and Jeffrey J. Buck, Salt Lake. She is a graduate of Taylorsville high and is attending Salt Lake Community College where she is studying business management. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Brown, Bennion, and is a graduate of Taylorsville high. He is attending the University of Utah where he is studying physical That love of fishing has remained with them and many summers have been spent in Yellowstone and at their cabin at Defas Dude Ranch The two of them passed that love and skill of fishing to their children, even to the grandchildren, and they all have memories of outings together. Before moving to Magna, they lived in Logan, Taylorsville and Garfield where they were active in The children of Carroll D. and Dorothy C. Rose are hosting an open house to honor the 50th Wedding Anniversary of their parents. Family and friends are being invited to call at the Rose home, 3264 Breeze Drive in Magna, on June 27th between the hours of 2:00 to 5:00 in therapy. Sheri Buck was maid of honor. Others attending the bride were Stacy Pitcher, Troylyn Brown and Aubrey Spencer. The flower girl was Mikala Spencer. Machell Terry attended the guest book. The best man was Tony Brown and the ushers were Mike Brown and Cris Brown. The two were married on April 3, 1937 in Preston, Idaho, the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 6, 1945 They made their home in Cache Valley until Pre-nupti- church and community events. Upon moving to Magna, in 1940, Mr. Rose became employed by as a boiler maker at the refinery, retiring in 1982. He was also known for being the motion picture operator at the Garfield, Gem and Empire theaters for 30 years. Mrs. Rose w as employed at Tooele Army Depot in the early 1940s and later became a nurses aid for Mr. John Cash. In 1966 she joined the S L. County Sheriff's office as a criminal technician and retired from there after 21 years of service. Ken-neco- tt 1940 Brown. The newlyweds will honeymoon at San Diego and will make their home at West Valley City. Missionaries Carroll is the son of Lester T. and Frances J. Rose of Hyrum, Utah and one of 12 children. As a young man he worked on his fathers farm, riding horses, hauling hay and tending the dry farm He attendes school at South Cache high. Dorothy is the daughter of Harry and Rebecca W Cooper of Logan, one of six children and attended Logan high Carroll says. Dorothy was so lovely, in her smart purple hat and matching suit, that fell in love with her the first time I saw her " With him living in Hyrum and her in Logan, and no car, Carroll courted Dorothy by walking seven miles to her home and seven miles back again in all kinds of u eather They both recall how, on Friday nights, they would go for ice cream and then to the park where they would dig for night crawlers so the two of them could go fishing Saturday afternoons. The honored pair have three children. They are DeLoy (Ann) Carroll of San Diego, CA; Terrel (Carolyn) Lee of Taylorsville and Becky Lyn Bowen of Magna. Ericksons Brian John Erickson and Nickie Dugger exchanged marriage vows in a double ring garden ceremony at the home of the grooms parents on June 20.
