we ara are pleased to note that the city authorities have begun work on the ditch along the east side of main street it is a long felt necessity for the reason reason that all water on that side of the road had a tendency to 0 roar mar the street the street is graded up pretty well and naturally sheds water both dav ways s that which runs to the east would collect in quantities and flow across the road cutting h a channel as it went the making and keeping open of a good ditch on that side of the street is the proper thing
