Show 14 BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, r Utah Thursday, October 16, 1975 THESE PRICES EFFECTIVE 7 Willard Wrapup by Arlene Holden blowing icy winds right behind her. Our family decided to take a drive up the canyons Sunday to see what the change in seasons has accomplished. Up over the top of North Ogden canyon we drove straight into the clouds. Through the mists we saw the brilliant reds, yellows and browns competing with the evergreens. There were even patches of snow and ice here and there among the brush. Sharp eyed son spotted a sight across the gorge that was enough to make any deer hunters heart stop. Three of the prettiest deer crossed a slight clearing as they picked their way up the mountainside. They were most unconcerned even though several cars stopped to watch. Glad We Went we went this week. Next weekend all the deer will be hiding wherever they go and all the hunters will be madly searching for the signs of sport. As Id never been to Powder Mountain, husband decided to drive up. Good news for the skiers. It snowed at the ski resorts! And we had an early snow ball fight. The taste of that which is to come was enough and we were happy to get back to the rain and all the color of fall. Madge and Eldon Watts have a new baby granddaughter. The UEA Idea Fair was one of the highlights of the workshops, demonstrations, and displays held at the Salt Palace, hotels and various schools in the city. Jack Anderson, the Washington columnist, was a featured speaker during the seminar. He encouraged each of the teachers to stand by their ideals.
