This year the Utah Lung association will again be selecting a childs Christmas drawing to represent Utah on the 1977 sheet of Christmas Seals. Drawings will be displayed in a Salt Lake City shopping mall during the holidays. The design project is not a contest. Children should not be instructed to design Christmas Seals, but rather to create an original holiday painting. A inch paper standard should be used and only paintings done on a horizontal format can be accepted, a spokesman said. Specific religious scenes are not suitable for production. Such themes as Holiday Time in Utah or What I Do At Christmas Time are suggested. Three dimensional work or work done with media that is easily destroyed in shipment is not appropriate. Tempora paint or crayons is suggested for best color reproduction. The name of the child, age, grade, school and parents name should be placed on the reverse side of the drawing.
