A The choice between shingling or stuccoing your house should not be based on the question of relative durability, but rather on the nature of the architecture of your house. Both methods are good, properly ap- nl whv envl materials are Used. The choice Is purely a matter of taste. Blue prints for our house show three posts for supports, set in concrete and spaced an equal distance apart The contractor put to only one. Is this sufficient support for a house 28x30 feet? A No. The maximum span of a wooden girder to support a plastered feet As you have partition is eight Is manifestly twice it built the span this distance. 8ueh construction invariably results In sagging floors and cracked plaster. It is also not good practice to have the bases of such posts set into the concrete floor, but above it. Otherwise the foot of the post is likely to rot Have no hesitation In requiring your contractor to make changes to have the construction comply with the drawings.
