The program includes scholarships, academic excellence awards, and general sponsorship of educational initiatives. The company has also been an excellent supporter of local athletic teams as demonstrated by the donation of the impressive scoreboard at the Spartan Center in Castle Dale. The year 1999 was another unprecedented year in our company history. The company continues to expand and grow; in an effort to provide more and better services to its customers. One example is the customer service center. Emerys customer service center now employs over 20 local residents - providing customer support services to more than 40,000 customers in 12 states. Projections for 2000 look good for the customers of Emery Telephone. The company is constantly looking for new and better ways to provide telecommunications to local residents. The Board of Directors of Emery Tele- phone remains committed to maintain the highest standards for both service and community involvement. Emery Telephone will remain focused on ensuring that Emery County residents have access to the most modem and useful tele- communications services. Because we are member owned and locally operated, we will remain committed to making sure that the community receives all of the benefits a telecommunications company can offer. Emery Telephone was organized In 1950 by the residents of Emery County to create a modem, affordable telephone system. The founding members made significant sacrifices and worked hard to make this company grow Today Emery Telephone serves approximately 4,900 telephone customers and thousands of oth ers through our subsidiary companies. Because of the rapid growth and changingteleeommunications business, Emery Telephone has more than doubled the number of employees in the past few years and In 1996, we moved to our modern, new building in Orangeville. Emery Telephone's commitment to this area is substantial. From job growth to programs benefitting local school children, Emery Telephone remains focused on helping Emery County become a great place to work, live and play. 748-222- 3 455 East Highway 29 P.O.
