Kathy McDonald recently presented her demonstration in an assembly at American Fork's Barratt Elementary School. At the end of the program, she had children join her in shouting, "Utah!" McDonald is promoting the 100 Days of Fitness program which is aimed at making Utah children aware of the need to exercise. "Only 6 percent of children are physically fit," she said. She said in order to get children to exercise, a competition will be held among Utah Valley grammar schools to see which can have the highest percentage of physically fit students at the end of the 100-da- y period. She said children will be doing more for the state centennial year than just becoming fit and raising school funds.
