The most exciting aspect about the opening of the Star Palace is the sound system according to Anderson. Anderson said the cost of the system was $205,000 which includes 30 amplifiers and 110 speakers. He alleged the most expensive disco up until now has been Regine's in Pans which cost $1 million to put together. "Provo now has the largest, most complete disco ever assembled anywhere," Anderson asserted.
