Show Free Press - Wednesday, December 12. 1984 - Pace 5 Rulon Allred sustained as West Stake Patriarch Rulon Allred has been sustained as patriarch of the Lehi West Stake. A son of the late Buell and Rebecca Allred, he is a lifetime resident of Lehi. A graduate of Lehi High School, the new patriarch also graduated from Brigham Young University. Following his graduation he taught school in Wyoming, Manti, and for 20 years in Salt Lake City. He is a veteran of World War II. His many years of service in the L.D.S. Church include positions as president of the Sunday School and M I A. He has been Elder's Quorum president and High Priest group leader. He has also served as a counselor in the bishopric. Mr. Allred served a mission in the Hawaiian Islands and has served with his wife in the England-LondoMission. He is currently a temple worker. V. .... Kevin J. Andrews, Karen Richardson Layne B. The husband-to-b- e graduated in 1980 from Lehi High School. He is currently employed with Gerber Concrete Construction. Mr. and Mrs. Gayln Wilson of Lehi are pleaed to announce the forof their thcoming marriage daughter, Janet, to Layne B. Mangum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mangum of St. George. The couple will be married Thursday, Dec. 13, in the Jordan River LDS Temple. A reception will honor them that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Colonial House, 187 West Main, Lehi. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Attending the bride will be Susan Nelson, JoEllen Russon and Lori He Bellitti. Best man duties will be performed by Steve Smith with Joe Wightman serving as usher. The Lehi bride-to-b- e graduated married Leolia Thatcher Allred in the Salt Lake Temple and they are parents of five children: Rebecca, Brent, Bradley, John and David. They have 23 grandchildren. A retired rancher, Patriarch Allred has spent most of his summers working on his farm located west of Jordan River. from School LDS and Seminary She attended Ricks College and Weber State College.
