Several local establishments are already planning their New Year's Eve festivities. As always, there will be celebrators to something for everyone, from the hard-cor- e Here are a few of our choices for great the slower-pace- d. ways to ring in the New Yean NIGHTLIFE: GREEN STREET SOCIAL CLUB: Trolley Square. Green Street's New Year's Eve fare includes music with the Disgusting Brothers, a local favorite, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $5 for the concert. But there's more...a buffet dinner will be served from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. before the concert and the $15 meal prices includes the Disgusting Brother's performance. Dinner reservations must be purchased in advance. The drawback: Green Street is a private club and membership is required. THE OYSTER BAR: W Posr Office Place. The Oyster Bar and its more elite counterpart, The New Yorker, are both planning special, set menus for the evening. The decorations are something to see and the crowd is always a party. Both clubs are private; the New Yorker is offering their memberships for a special low $25. CAFE VICEUSES RUMEURS: Triad Center. Also a private establishment. Salt Lake's newest hotspot for the "beautiful people," offers a menu as diverse as its clientele. New Year's plans are still in the works, but the party definitely begins at 8 p.m. and runs until 1 a.m. For a small cover charge, hats, noisemakers and all the necessary paraphernalia will be provided. Live entertainment and complementary champagne at midnight. CARTIERS: Once again, private, but membership costs are reasonable. Cover charge is $10 for complimentary champagne, the appropriate toys and some of Salt Lake's best dancing. THE MARRIOTT HOTEL: Some of the greatest New Year's Eve ideas are coming from local hotels who are offering an evening of partying and then a place to spend the night at reasonable rates. The Marriott special is meal, favors, a $89.95 per couple, for a floorshow, dancing, parking and amenities and unlimited setups.
