Show SPORTS BRIEFS D Soccer registration begins Youth bowling league offered can register for soccer, Youth ages 4 12-1- 8 Tuesday and May 15, 9 p.m., and May 17, 10 a.m.-- 4 p.m., at the Clearfield City Building. Early registration fee is $18 which includes the fall and spring seasons. Registration after July 4 will be $30. Shin guards and a game shirt are required to be worn while playing in the league. Teams are decided by the age of the youth on the date. Children are registered based July 31 cut-of- f on their interest and enthusiasm rather than their skills as a player. Adults are also encouraged to sign up for a variety of positions in the American Youth Soccer Organization such as referees, coaches and team support personnel. Young hunter course set The Youth Hunter Education Challenge is May 8 at the Castle Valley Gun Club in Price. The YHEC prepares participants for the field by simulating actual hunting conditions and exposing 17-1- 1. young hunters to all methods of take and all types of game. Events will include: rifle, shotgun, archery, muzzleloading, orienteering, wildlife identification, hunter responsibility and hunter safety. It is open to graduates of any North American hunter education course.
