She continued, saying that blacks must continue to look for strength in their heroes such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Reverend Jesse Jackson, former representative Shirley Chisolm, and others. "Also, organizations such as the NAACP, church, Masonic Orders, and other such groups have always and base representatives. Mrs. Gray said a crisis facing the black family is the dual environment black youth are forced into reared within the black family and living in a white dominant society. Installation chairman for the. event was BrigxGen. H.N. Campbell, vice commander, Ogden Air Logistics Center. General Campbell said, "We get more from the Air Force Assistance Fund than we give," and urged base personnel to generously support this year's campaign. " Several base and tenant organizations have nearly completed their drives and made check presentations to General Campbell.
