Pleasant Grove Youth Theatre will provide the community with one as it presents the children's classic clas-sic musical "Peter Pan." The Pleasant Grove Youth Theatre invites parents and children to escape on May 4, 5 and 7 to the land where you can always be a child. The Pleasant Grove Youth Theatre will present "Peter Pan" at the Pleasant Grove Junior High on May 4, 5 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee show on May 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $4. Those attending the Saturday matinee can enter a drawing draw-ing for a free Peter Pan movie. Saturday night only family tickets are available for $10 and are good for up to 7 immediate family members. mem-bers. Peter Pan recounts the adventures . of the three Darling children as they fly away from their nursery and into the mythical world of Neverland. With Peter Pan (Kirsten Ivins) as their guide for this incredible journey, Wendy (Bonnie Hardman), Michael (Jacob Embley), and John (Trevor Walker) encounter the beautiful fairy Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys, the treacherous pirates aboard the Jolly Roger, a "ticking" crocodile and many other extraordinary characters. Judy Noziska, PGYT's producer and founder comments, com-ments, "Not only do we have an outstanding cast of youth, for the first time in organization's seven seasons, sea-sons, an adult will take the stage in the role of Captain Hook." Local artist, Howard Little portrays the villainous villain-ous Captain Hook in his quest to get revenge on Peter Pan. Utah Children's Choir to give spring concert Utah Valley's Utah Children's Choir will be presenting pre-senting their Spring Concert on Thursday, May 10, at the BYU Museum of Art at 7:30 p.m. There is no charge, but donations are accepted. No children under five should attend this concert. Both the Concert Choir and the younger singers, the Choristers, will sing from their repertoire of classical, folk and lyric music. The UCC apprentices, Karey Haddock, Mary Lynn Nelson and Jillian Joblin will each conduct the Choristers in a piece they have practiced and prepared for this concert. The Concert Choir will sing their New York Festival pieces. The choir is directed by Kay Asay, Alpine resident and choral educator. Choir members have also benefited benefit-ed from the talents and' expertise of their vocal coach, Marilyn Rudolph. Carol Haney and Jody Healey are their accompanists accompa-nists for this community concert. Auditions The Utah Children's Choir is holding auditions for new members on Saturday, May 12, at the American Heritage School 125 N 100 East in Pleasant Grove,. There are three choirs in the program. The Level one choir is for beginners, begin-ners, ages 8 and 9. The Level two choir is for singers in the intermediate range, approximately ages 10 through 12. The Concert Choir is for advanced singers, ages 12 through 16. There is some overlapping of ages according to experience. experi-ence. Those auditioning should have a song prepared to sing.
