Says Jim Henderson, "It isn't something we set out to do from the beginning, it just developed over time." Christian, remembers more the fact his younger brothers got tired of shagging footballs and decided to try kicking for themselves. "Whatever it was, it has been a longstanding family activity," says their mother, Cory Henderson. Hender-son. "Family vacations have often been scheduled around soccer or football games, and on other occasions we actually centered our plans to take advantage ad-vantage of soccer tournament or kicking camp." TROOPERS Shown Upon Reqimt Kia Spoilage combines quality and The all-new 1995 Kia Spoilage combines impressive value and exceptional design with competitive performance features. Kia's first sport-utility vehicle can overcome off-road challenges as well as negotiate the urban jungle, and is available avail-able in two trim levels: Sportage and well-equipped Sportage EX. Designed from the ground up as a sport-utility vehicle rather than an altered truck or wagon, the four-wheel-drive Sportage is powered by an electronically fuel-injected, 2.0-liter, 16-valve, DOHC engine, producing 130 horsepower and 127 lb.-ft. of torque. Precisely controlling the opening and closing of the engine's valves for maximum performance and fuel efficiency, the DOHC design is usually found only on more expensive sport-utility vehicles. What's more, the DOHC Sportage has a power-to-weight ratio superior to a Toyota 4Runner V6 or Nissan Nis-san Pathfinder V6, providing fun-to-drive, spirited performance. perfor-mance. Low cost of ownership will be a Sportage trademark, due in part to its attractive fuel economy better than a Toyota 4Runner or Nissan Pathfinder. All Sportages are equipped with a standard five-speed transmission. transmis-sion. An electronically-controlled, four-speed automatic transmission trans-mission is also available on four-wheel-drive Sportages. Every Sportage is equipped with rear-wheel anti-lock brakes for superior stopping power. For added safety and con- venience, auto-locking hubs and "shift-on-the-move" capability (from two-wheel drive to four-wheel four-wheel drive, up to 15 mph) are also standard on both models. The generously equipped Sportage offers a host of standard stand-ard equipment contributing to its excellent value, including power windows, dual remote power mirrors, rear window defroster,, intermittent windshield wipers, passenger-side passenger-side : sunvisor vanity mirror, remote fuel filler door release, tachometer, and digital clock.
