This week, a construction team was spotted amid lingering snow at City Park on the job site. The skateboard park is being built at the south end of City Park. Nearby, the Town Pointe residential residen-tial project is also starting, creating a long stretch of construction on the west side of Deer Valley Drive. Because of the work, bikers and pedestrians on the path on the east side of City Park next to the stream are experiencing a detour. Meanwhile the Park City Building Department notified Arnell West, the firm working on the skateboard park, that one of its signs, which faced Deer Valley Drive early this week, was too large. "They've been notified. It means they need to fix it," Chief Building Official Ron Ivie said Tuesday. He said the sign was far larger than the 12 square feet that are allowed under city code. The company had 24 hours from Tuesday morning to remove the sign, according to Ivie. Park City has wanted to build a permanent skateboard park for several years. Several locations, including a spot near the Racquet Club, were considered before the City Park site was chosen.
