COMMISSION RESOLUTION RESO-LUTION OF INTENT TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO SUMMIT COUNTY SERVICE AREA 6 RESOLUTION 97-30 WHEREAS, Summit County Service Area 6 is a county service area established by the Board of County Commissioners of Summit County, Utah pursuant to the provisions provi-sions of U.C.A. 17A-2-401 et. seq.;and, WHEREAS, Summit County Service Area 6 provides concentrated, urban-style road maintenance mainte-nance and snow removal services within residential subdivisions in the territory territo-ry of the service area; and, WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Summit County, Utah has determined that such services ser-vices should be provided on an extended basis within the territory which is proposed to be annexed to Summit County Service Area 6 as more specifically provided pro-vided in Exhibit A to this resolution; and, WHEREAS, WHERE-AS, notice should be provided pro-vided to the owners of all territory within the area proposed for annexation and to the owners of property and residences of the established service areas within Summit County Service Area 6; and, WHEREAS, a public pub-lic hearing should be held on the proposal to annex territory to the service area which should not be less than thirty (30) days, nor more than sixty (60) days after the adoption of this resolution and whereas all interested persons should be entitled enti-tled to attend the public hearing, comment on or protest the annexation proposed in this resolution; resolu-tion; NOW THEREFORE, THERE-FORE, be it hereby resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Summit County, Utah as follows: 1. The Summit County Board of Commissioners is empowered to collect service charges andor levy taxes in order to fairly fair-ly and equitably provide the services authorized. A hearing on the proposal to annex the territory described in Exhibit A to Summit County Service Area 6 shall be held on November 3, 1997 at the .
