We've all heard it. But Springville parents and youth should know that this simply isn't true in our community. Our kids need to know about the many opportunities for them here in the SpringvilleMapleton area. Who better to show us just what's available for our youth than Alan Curtis, Springville's recently retired director of Parks and Recreation. : . Curtis will speak to citizens, young and old on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Springville High School Auditorium. . Cyrtis spent countless hours helping to maintain city parks, overseeing the operation and growth of city recreation programs, and ensuring that Springville was a great place to live. One fellow citizen remarked, "Alan Curtis represents the very best of what is good about this city." You won't want to miss this opportunity to hear Curtis share some of his experiences and his ideas and suggestions for our youth. Alan will be joined by Youthnet board members Kevin Scholz and Dan Shelley, who will share information about how you and your kids can get involved and make a difference in our community.
