"It is an honor to be recognized recog-nized forthe Woman of the Year Award for this year at St. James Catholic. Duringthis time, I have cleaned the church, school and the house for the priest. In the past, I have served as the president presi-dent for the ladies club, taught CCD, been a youth director, served the communion ministry, minis-try, and helped to minister the Navajo Mission in New Mexico," said Watson. She added her thanks to those who recognized her for the award and any others who may have been responsible. Zachariah Barnes Barnes receives award Zachariah Barnes will receive his Eagle Scout award on April 13 at Davis 1st and 4th Ward, 3990 S. 1500 E. He is the son of Dora and Jay Barnes. Barnes is a member of Troop 240. 50d Lonnie and Barbara Meek will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary an-niversary on Sunday, April 1 3, at the Vernal Christian Church. They were married on April 12, 1958 in Colorado Springs, Colo., while Lonnie was serving in the military. They have two children, Debbie (Beryl) Wright, Rawlins, Wyo.; and Kurt (Cathy) Meek, Tucson, Ariz. They have seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Friends and family may join them for an open house from 12 to 1:30 at the church located at 1845 W. 750outh. A light lunch will be served. President Neider, a native of Idaho, is active in community and church service where he has served as counselor in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission Mis-sion presidency, as a bishop, and scoutmaster.
