Newfield Production Company (Newfield) intends to convert the Federal No. 13-7-9-18 to a Class II enhanced recovery recov-ery injection well for enhanced oil recovery operations. No drinking drink-ing water wells are present within one-quarter one-quarter (14) mile of the Federal No. 13-7-9-18. The approved injection injec-tion zone is within the Green River Formation from 3554 feet to the top of the Wasatch Formation approximately 5836 feet which interval includes the Garden Gulch, Douglas Creek and Basal Carbonate Members. The injectate will be a blend of water from the Johnson Water District reservoir reser-voir andor the Green River water pipeline, and produced Green River Formation water from oil wells proximate to the Federal No. 13-7-9-18. A Draft UIC Permit or permit modification modifica-tion has been prepared in accordance with provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) as amended (42 USC et seq) and other lawful standards and regulations. The EPA has made a preliminary pre-liminary determination determina-tion that all underground under-ground sources of drinking water will be protected. NOTICE OF DECISION Forest Service -Ashley National Forest - U.S. Department of Agriculture Vernal Ranger District, Uintah County, Utah Trout Slope West Timber Project Forest Supervisor Kevin B. Elliott is reissuing re-issuing a new decision to implement the Trout Slope West Timber Project. A previous decision was issued for this project on July 1, 2004, but was later withdrawn following fol-lowing a ruling from the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. The decision is to select Alternative 3 from the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) which will allow the harvest of approximately 18,400 CCF (hundred cubic feet) of timber over approximately 2,066 acres of land. The purpose of the project is to recover recov-er the economic value of the wood product, prevent a likely future forest condition of blow down and jack-strawed jack-strawed timber, and protect existing tree regeneration.
