Burchinal was presented with an achievement award in recognition for academic excellence and "Student of the Year" in the Department of Graphics Commercial Art, 1993-1994, at Utah Valley State College. Burchinal is the son of Chris Burchinal of Santa Ana, Calif., and Debbie and Keith Mackay of Vernal. He is married to the former Kristic Wcstwood, both graduates of Uintah High School in 1992. He is currently employed for the Daily Spectrum in St. George. B, 1457th Engineer Battalion of the Utah Army National Guard. He is a senior at Uintah High School and enjoys camping, track and basketball.
