Mountain View placed second at 552 points and Orem finished in third place at 36 counters. June Anderson won the 110 high hurdles for the Uintah Utes with a time of 20.68. Peterson of Mountain View placed second at 22.69 and Western of Orem finished in third place at 21.47. Audra Pope placed fourth at 21.48 and Shellie Belcher picked up fifth place at 22.23. Karine Walker placed sixth at 22.77. First place in the 100 meter dash was won by Uintah's Anderson at 13.61 and Andy Critton, also from Uintah, placed plac-ed second at 14.09. Proctor of Mountain View placed third at 14.18 and Western of Orem nabbed fourth place at 19.49. Uintah's Michelle Hatch placed fifth at 15.00 and Tammy Griffis finished in sixth place at 15.70. Uintah's Joy Hunsaker captured first place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:10.04 and Milten of Mountain Moun-tain View placed second at 6:11.16. Miller, Mountain View, finished in third place at 6:25.83 and MarQuita Batty placed fourth for Uintah at 7:47.92. Mountain View's Lott snared first place in the 400 meter dash at 1:03.43. Poll of Mountain View finished in second se-cond place at 1:03.84. Uintah's Critton placed third at 1:05.4 and Brimhall nabbed fourth at 1:06.53. Mountain View won the 400 meter relay in a time of 57.2 and Uintah placed second at 59.75. Holdaway of Mountain View won the 300 meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 54.32 and Uintah's Belcher 200 meter dash in a time of 26.02 and Uintah's Critton placed second at 27.45. Orem's Western nabbed third place at 27.59 and Uintah's Hatch placed plac-ed fourth at 28.08. First place in the two mile run was won by Mountain View's Miller in a time of 14:33.14. Hall of Mountain View placed second and Orem netted third. Mountain View won the mile relay with a time of 4:47.99 and Uintah placed plac-ed second at 5:29.81. The win put Mountain View ahead of the Utes by nine points at 53-44. The Utes won four of the final five first place titles and beat Mountain View, 63 to 55. Janet Saupe, Uintah, Uin-tah, won the shot put with a toss of 25'3" and Orem's Preston placed second se-cond at 25'2Vi". Reynolds, Orem, placed plac-ed third at 25'1" and Dahl, Mountain view, netted fourth place 23'9Vfe". Uintah's Uin-tah's McKee placed fifth at 22'2Vfe" and Merrill of Uintah nabbed sixth at 20'6". Belcher, Uintah and Herman, Orem, tied for first place in the high jump at 5'1" and Anderson, Uintah and Ranette, Mountain View, tied for third place at 4'9VZ". Uintah's Anderson won the javelin with a toss of 79'2" and Preston, Orem, placed second at 713". Orem's Reynolds captured third place at 69'5" and Pope of Uintah finished in fourth place at 65'8". Orem's Herman won the long jump with a leap of 14'1" and Mclntire, Orem, placed second at 13'1". Reynolds, Orem, nabbed third place and Stacy Payne of Uintah netted fourth place. Mountain View didn't have anybody finish in the top five in the discus. Andy Critton placed third in the girls' discus in an invitational track meet in Provo Saturday with a toss of 97'11". Derek Sheffield recorded his best time in the mile at 4:46 according to Uintah Ute track coach Gil Limb.
