Show 380th coming home HILL AIR FORCE BASE The largest contingent yet, more than 1,000 personnel sent to war in the Persian Gulf from Hill Air Force Base, will arrive home this week, a spokeswoman said late Monday. Two of the three squadrons comprising Hill's 388th Tactical Fighter Wing were sent to the gulf in August after Iraq invaded Kuwait. More than 800 airmen and support personnel will land Tuesday on Air Force transport planes at Hill AFB's Welcome Center, Hanger 37, from destinations in the gulf. Tentative arrival times included 60 to 100 at 2 p.m., another load of more than 300 at 3 p.m. and yet another plane load of more than 300 at 10 p.m. On Wednesday, a contingent of 65 from Operation Desert Storm will arrive ar-rive at 10 a.m., followed by a flight of F-16's that participated in the war, expected to land at about 3 p.m. On Thursday, another 300 airmen and support personnel will touchdown near Hanger 37, at 6 a.m. Another flight of flight of F-16 warplanes will touchdown Friday. The lime will be announced later, the Air Force said. |
