Show Democrat Holbrook announces candidacy - i f ,. ) .-.sift: '" J. Dell Holbrook, Davis County small businessman and civic leader, formally announces his desire to serve as a Davis County Commis- I sioner. Holbrook is a lifetime resident of Davis County, having jesided in the Bountiful area for 45 years. Following Air Force active duty and two years of church service, Holbrook worked for Davis County Sheriff Bill Peters. While working as a bail clerk and jailer, Holbrook studied business and political science at Weber State College. He also later obtained a technical degree from the Utah Technical College. He and his wife Jacque are the parents of three daughters and two sons and are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first grandchild. Holbrook is the owner-operator of Holbrook Construction, a small firm operating in the mountain states area since 1970. Holbrook is an avid sportsman, devoting as much time as possible to river running with his two grown sons. He also enjoys community involvement, in-volvement, having served as West Bountiful City Administrator under Mayor Arch Widdison and Mayor J. DELL HOLBROOK Grant Secrist. He retired last year from the Utah Air National Guard after 22 years of honorable service. He is currently serving as chairman of the Davis County Democratic Party. Holbrook will face Ed Snow in the general election on Nov. 6 for the commission seat currently held by William "Dub" Lawrence. More political announcements Pg. D-6 . . |
