Show School boundary meet By G. BRETT HART FARMINGTON After six months of intense debate and controversy, con-troversy, Davis School District's high school boundary change consultant, con-sultant, Dr. Reed Call, will announce his final recommendations to the school board tonight. Call, who was hired by the board to review high school boundary adjustments as a means of alleviating overcrowding in South Davis high schools, will make his recommendations in a meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Woods Cross High School auditorium. The board is expected to take final action concerning the proposed boundary changes in its Oct. 2 meeting. Call's announcement is the culmination of a process that began last spring when Call presented his original recommendations to the board. Four panel groups consisting of parents, teachers and community volunteers were organized to correspond with Bountiful, Davis, Viewmont and Woods Cross high schools. The panels were assigned to hold open meetings and canvass their respective areas in an effort to assess public opinion toward the possible boundary changes. |
