Show Wood family reunion The nine children of John H. Wood. Sr. and Loretta Sparks Wood honored their grandfather and grandmother, George Cotton Wood and Juliatte Howard Wood, Sept. 7. The family gathered at the Daughters of the Utah Pioneer Museum Mu-seum to donate artifacts of George C. and Juliatte H. Wood. Joseph Howard Wood, their last surviving fa child, made the presentation to the museum. George C. Wood was the son of Daniel Wood, founder of Woods Cross. Brigham Young named Woods Cross after Daniel Wood when the railroad crossed through his property. After the ceremony at the museum, mu-seum, the family went on tour of the original Wood Homestead and the Wilford C. Wood Museum. The family members (approximately 150 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren) completed the day with a picnic at Woods Cross Park. |
