Show Dell J. Larkin I FRUIT HEIGHTS -Dell J. Larkin, 64, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 1990 at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City of an extended illness. I He was bom May 15, 1926 in Kaysville, a son of Fred S. and Lavida s Jensen Larkin. He married Dorothy Green Feb. 4, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was reared in Kaysville and He organized and was a charter president of the Kaysville Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Kaysville Rotary Club and president of the Ogden Lenders Exchange. He was active in many charitable organizations and civic events. He was a veteran of World War II, serving' with the U.S. Army Airborne Paratroopers 82nd and 101st Divisions Divi-sions in Germany and Austria. Surviving are his wife of Fruit Heights; four sons and one daughter, Scott D. and wife Tamara Larkin, Mantua; Rodney B. and wife Robyn Larkin, Ted R. Larkin, Julie A Larkin, all of Fruit Heights; Brett R. and wife Denise Larkin, Kaysville; grandson, Braden Larkin, Fruit Heights; eight other grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Clifton J. Larkin, Kaysville; Howard F. Larkin, Layton; Buddy Glen Larkin, Darby, Mont.; Carol and husband Richard Norris, Fountain Valley, Calif.; Barbara and husband Blaine Nuttall, Bountiful. He was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and his parents. Services were held Sept. 10, at the Fruit Heights Stake Center. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery, where military honors were accorded by the VFW Honor Guard, Local funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. had lived in the Kaysville-Fruit Heights area the past 30 years. He graduated from Davis High School and attended the University of Utah and Utah State University. He was a prominent businessman in Kaysville, managing Central Finance Company for 1 2 years, owner of Lender's Finance and Larkin Collection agency. He had worked for Beneficial Finance Company Com-pany for 15 years, managing offices in British Columbia, Canada; Reno, Nev.; San Jose, Calif.; and Pocatello, Idaho. He was a member of the Fruit Heights Sixth LDS Ward and had served in the Sunday School presidency, presi-dency, Stake Young Men's MIA and as an exemplary home teacher. |
