Show Ice therapy to be topic Ice therapy is a common treatment for arthritis. It numbs the sore area and relieves discomfort. The Davis County Arthritis Education and Support Group, sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation, Utah Chapter will have Elizabeth T. Morris, physical therapist, speak on ice therapy. Morris has developed and worked extensively on an innovative ice therapy technique. The free meeting will be held on Thursday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Layton Library, 55 N. Wasatch Dr. 'Ice slows the chemical activity of the muscle fibers, permitting them to relax and stretch to their normal length," said Morris. "This takes the pressure off the joints, relieving the pain." Anyone who is interested in learning more about arthritis and ice therapy is invited to attend.
