Show Wasatch workers eligible for benefits i Former workers of Wasatch High Voltage engaged in the production of monitors in Salt Lake City have been certified as eligible for Federal Trade Act benefits according to Terry O. Burns, Unemployment Insurance director, for the Utah Department of Employment Security (Job Service). The benefits are available to Wasatch workers laid off on or after Jan. 23, 1991 and before March 18, ! 1994. These benefits include Trade Act unemployment insurance payments, job search and relocation allowances, and payment of approved training. Accor- ! i ding to information from Wasatch, approximately 125 people are affected. Trade affected workers filing for weekly Trade Act unemployment insurance payments must be enrolled in training or have a waiver of training enrollment requirement re-quirement in order to receive the payments. Burns advises workers separated from this firm within the certification period previously mentioned to report to their nearest Job Service office to apply for these benefits. |
