Show Weber upsets Davis in Kaysville, 77-73 were done scoring; fortunately for Weber, the Warriors were not, as Brandon Peterson calmly sank four straight from the charity stripe to account for the final score. For the game Christopherson had a team-high 22 points in a balanced Warrior attack which included four in double figures. The Darts were led by Ryan Halliday, who has apparently found his stroke again, hitting for 30, including in-cluding five long-range triples. Travis Homer also played well, gathering 17 points, including an impressive 11 of 13 from the free throw line. The production severely dropped off after that, however, as no other Dart finished with more than five points. The win pulls Weber out of the region cellar with a 2-6 record. Davis fell into a tie with Bonneville for second at 6-2. V - -. 1 if ? ? - , J Iw. ? t r i fX . . ' I KAYSVILLE ' "I don't know, what can I say?" Davis coach Jay Welk said Tuesday after his Darts eked out a win over underdog Roy by one point. The mood after Friday's highly improbable improb-able loss was more of the same, only much more tense. To everyone's surprise Weber held on to get only its third win of the year, 77-73. Even more surprising surpris-ing is the fact that it was done in the Darts' gym. That the game was even close at all is a great tribute to the Darts. The Warriors got off to a great start, leading by six after the first quarter, and 1 1 at intermission. The lead was stretched to 60-41 O after three quarters when it appeared ap-peared the Darts realized the game was indeed slipping out of their hands. The final quarter saw the Darts listening to their coaching staff and fans' pleas as they dominated action ac-tion scoring an incredible 32 points fJ period. Vr appeared as if the heroic comeback com-eback would be enough as Ryan Halliday knotted the contest at 71 with 58 seconds remaining in the game. Chris Christopherson then put Weber back in front as he hit two free throws, only to have Davis Matt Thomas tie the score again at 73 with 38 seconds remaining. remain-ing.
