Farmington Police Chief Jeff Jacobson said the incident occurred when one of his officers was entering enter-ing the freeway southbound on the 200 West on ramp and sighted Anderson traveling about 85 mph. Jacobson said Anderson was driving driv-ing very erratically, ' ' running other vehicles out of their lanes. "The officer attempted to stop him, assuming he may be driving impaired, but he didn't want to stop," Jacobson said. Anderson grazed part of the bridge structure near the Parrish Lane exit, but kept going. A UHP officer reported there was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the suspect's vehicle at the scene of the crash.
