By ROB KIME As the end of the quarter approaches, and we have three teams in or closing in on state tournaments, tour-naments, tension is extremely high. But the stress of athletic competition com-petition and scholastic achievement achieve-ment pales in comparison with the rising tide of excitement over the up and coming Sadie Hawkins . dance. The theme is "Sadie Gets Shipwrecked." Ship-wrecked." The castaways will meet on Nov. 12 in the WX gymnasium gymna-sium for a wild night of partying. This dance is put on annually by our wonderful Chatelles. Our cross country team finished up the year with an unprecedented 6-1 record. They worked extremely extreme-ly hard to reach this level and we are very proud of them. Our varsity football Cats came out of the regular season, the best season in WX history, with a 7-2 record. They are going into the state tournament a force to be reck- ' oned with. Even as we speak, work continues con-tinues on this year's musical production. pro-duction. This much awaited event will as always be spectacular if for no other reason because the drama department puts in literally thousands of hours working on the show. So ends an average week at WX. A week full of the kind of achievement achieve-ment that is so commonplace at WX, but extraordinary by any other standard. That is why WX is, and always will be, "A Step Ahead."
