'Home Spun Home' boutique set to open on November 7th By JUDY JENSEN Editor LAYTON The fourth annual two-week Christmas boutique "Home Spun Home" will open Nov. 7 at the home of Alecia Nalder. Mrs. Nalder's boutique will be featured in an upcoming article in Woman's Day Magazine as a successful suc-cessful in-home business. The boutique features the work of 70 artisans from Logan to Orem. Homemade crafts, collectibles and antiques will be available to shoppers. shop-pers. Alecia said the boutique has grown over the years and is now very successful. "I saw a cartoon of a woman moving everything out of her living room and her friend who was watching said to a curious onlooker, 'She's not moving. She's opening a boutique.' That reminded re-minded me of me," laqghed Alecia. Her specialties and personal favorites include decorated Pepsi and Coke crates and the life-size old-fashioned Santa. "We've got everything on display but the kitchen kitch-en sink," said Alecia. The boutique is located at 1310 N. Hillsboro Dr. in Layton. It will be open six days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome, wel-come, including window shoppers. |
