Show Smith to address retirees Joyce Smith, site manager at Bountiful's Golden Years Center, will speak to the November meeting meet-ing of the Bountiful Chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She will speak on "The Senior Ombudsman Program," which provides a mediator for problems arising between patients and extended ex-tended care facilities. The ombudsman ombuds-man or mediator can be contacted for assistance by calling the Golden Years Center. All interested persons, whether retired or not, are invited to attend this meeting Nov. 8 at 12:30 p.m. in the Golden Years Center. The local chapter is prepared to provide assistance in solving prob- ' lems with the Federal Health Benefits Be-nefits Program, annuity problems with OPM, and in securing appropriate approp-riate benefits for survivors in the event of the death of an annuitant or spouse. Anyone age 60 and older, who desires to eat lunch at -the Golden Years Center prior to the meeting must call the Center at 295-3479 at least 24 hours in advance. |
