Show Credit classes airing KULC 9, Utah's Learning Channel, will unveil an unprecedented unpre-cedented schedule of for-credit, college courses beginning Monday, Mon-day, Sept. 26. In cooperation with Utah's universities uni-versities and colleges, some of Utah's finest teachers will lead more than 25 television classes during the 1988-89 school year. Programs include: United States history; Introduction to Sociology-Sociology Sociology-Sociology 101; Classical Cinema- . Film Studies 332; Computer Applications Appli-cations in Business-DOS, WordPerfect, Word-Perfect, DBase 3 plus, Lotus 1-2-3, desktop publishing; The U.S. Con-, stitution-Political Science 485; Geography of Utah-Geography 360; Physics for Engineers and Scientists-Physics 171, 172; Introduction Introduc-tion to Biology-Biology 101; History His-tory of Utah-History 466; Introduction Intro-duction to Psychology-Psychology 101; Introduction to the Visual Arts-Art 100; Intermediate Algebra-Math 101; The Planet Earth; Southern Utah State Convocation; Invitation to Fly; Business Organization Organi-zation and Management (3 courses); the U.S. Congress: We the People; Intro, to Economics-Economics Economics-Economics 105; Utah's Architectural Architec-tural Heritage-Architecture 324; Survey of Art History-Art History 101; The Africans-Political Science Scien-ce 485; Art of Being Human; and Understanding Human Behavior. Dr. J. D. Williams from the University Uni-versity of Utah Political Science department is the latest distinguished disting-uished professor to agree to host a college course on television. He will be providing commentary on the U.S. Constitution class this fall. Other well-known, local educators educa-tors teaching' on television during 1988-89 are William Brustein, William Wil-liam Siska, Al Fisher, Dennis Garner, Gar-ner, George Williams, James Harris, Har-ris, Dean May, Nathan Winters, Ronald Stern, E.K. Hunt, William Lye, Peter Goss and Lennox Tierney. KULC 9, Utah's Learning Channel, is a non-profit public television tele-vision station licensed to the Utah System of Higher Education. Dedicated Dedi-cated exclusively to quality instructional in-structional programming, KULC is on the air Monday through Friday, Fri-day, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6-11 p.m. For viewers with cable, programs may be on a channel other than 9.
